No. 253: Peabody Square blizzard no. 2
Postcard #253

Postcard. Caption on front: Peabody Sq. Ashmont, Mass., blizzard 1920. no. 2. Postally unused.

The fire station appears in the center just behind the trolley car. The building at the left sporting the Gold Dust billboard is now the site of the Englewood Apartments. This was the site of an earlier Ashmont Station, torn down in 1928, and later the site of the Englewood Diner (1946-1970s).
