Photograph of the Welles House. George Henry Knox occupied the house in 1784. Daniel Webster also lived here in 1833 and it was known at the Webster House. Published in Official Program, Dorchester Day, Saturday, June 7th, 1913.

 This house was located on Washington Street where the Codman Square branch of the Boston Public Library is now. The Henry L. Pierce School occupied the site after the Welles House was torn down and prior to the library.
