|No. 47: Willow Court|
Photograph of Willow Court. Published in Official Program, Dorchester Day, Saturday, June 7th, 1913. Photograph most likely dates from the 1860s.
| Willow Court was one of the first lanes settled by the European immigrants in the 1630s. Roger Clap built his house here.
The three-story building with mansard roof, the main subject of the photo, is 68 Willow Court, located at the intersection of Enterprise Street and Willow Court. This house is cited by Arthur Krim in Three-Deckers of Dorchester: An Architectural Historical Survey as "a three-family mansard prototype with original three-story rear porches, the earliest surveyed example in Dorchester."
