| Photo of Ethel Hill Henderson with stacks of pots. Ethel Hill was the daughter-in-law of George Henderson who founded the Dorchester Pottery Works. Ethel and her husband Charles took over the company in 1928, and Ethel became the force in the company in the 1930s and 1940s, introducing decorative designs that would become very popular. Her brother Charlie Hill was one of the artists who executed the designs on the pieces.
