This detail from the 1831 Baker map of Dorchester shows the location of the Dorchester Academy building, completed in 1831. The Church labeled Codman at the intersection of Washington Street and Norfolk Street is the Second Church. On the same side of the street, the Clap house is the Clap Kendall house at the northeast corner of what is now Washington and Kenwood Streets. The Bull House was located where the Court House is now.
