|No. 4093: Dorchester Pottery Works|
This 1983 snapshot shows the Victory Road end of the Dorchester Pottery Works building and the two-and-a-half story house used as a sales shop.
| By 1965 when the snapshot that is today's illustration was taken, the Dorchester Pottery had been closed down for a few years. In the late years of the business the two-and-a-half story house on the right had become the sales shop. On the left we see the end of the main Dorchester Pottery Works building, i.e., the end facing Victory Road. The railroad tracks that allowed delivery of clay for the pottery and wood to stoke the kiln are on top of the embankment just behind these buildings.
