Field's Corner Collaborative
MyTour Dorchester from the Field's Corner Collaborative

MyTour Dorchester is a collaborative program that empowers youth and community through celebrating Fields Cornerís multicultural history. Based on a model made successful by mytown, inc. in the South End and Lower Roxbury, MyTour Dorchester brings this innovative program to DorchesteróBoston's largest and oldest neighborhood, founded in 1630. MyTour Dorchester youth meet weekly to learn about their community, research its history, and ultimately will create a walking tour of the Fields Corner area. The youth will also serve as tour guides for the Field's Corner tour, developing leadership and public speaking skills in the process. The community will be introduced to the new tour at a kick off event on Saturday, June 5th 2010, Dorchester Day Weekend. Tours will continue throughout the month of June.
