Trolley Car 119 at Milton Station car house
Leo Sullivan provided this photo from 1918 showing trolley car number 119 at the Milton Station car house near Lower Mills. The viewer of the scene would be standing in front of the car house, which was located on the east side of Dorchester Avenue, about where high-rise apartment building is located today. The photo, which was taken in 1918, provides a glimpse of the storefront on the opposite side of Dorchester Avenue and a little of the side and back of the Gilbert Stuart School, which was located where the Lower Mills branch of the Boston Public Library stands today
