 Contained in an album at the Dorchester Historical Society of about 150 photos kept by Nathaniel R. Perkins, MD, who examined thousands of men who were going into the war, 1914-1918. Given by Mrs N. R. Perkins in accordance with instructions from her late husband, Dr. Nathaniel P. Perkins of 1122 Adams St, Dorchester. Index catalog has entries for the individuals.

Nathaniel R Perkins graduate USM 1876 Born Plainfield VT Sep 10, 1847. Eighth generation of John Perkins who landed at Nantasket 1631. Member General Court of Mass 1888 from 2nd Worcester Dist. Located in Winchendon 1876. Removed to Boston Dorchester Dist 1890. Appointed member Mass Board of Registration in Medicine and has held the position by several reappointments to the present time. Appointed by the President member of the Exemption board no. 21 City of Boston
