Grave 71 Range D Willow Avenue
The following statements illustrate how vital records do not always agree. When Gladys A. Shattuck passed away in 1915, the birthplace of her father is stated as Wiscasset in Lincoln County, Maine, while when her father, John, died in 1920 his birthplace sa listed as Portland in Cumberland County, Maine! Obviously only one statement is correct!

Gladys A. Shattuck was born in Boston in 1896 to John V. Shattuck and Annie Secord Shattuck, a native of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. She resided at 8 Brunswick Street off of Columbia Road in Dorchester and died at Boston City Hospital in the South End on December 19, 1915, from Empyema after being hospitalized for 1 month and 11 days at the age of 19 years and 9 months. H. R. Crane was the undertaker, and she was interred on December 21, 1915.
