Walter Baker & Co. issued a number of trade cards and other forms of advertising.

Anthony Sammarco wrote an article published in the Dorchester Community News 24 November 2000 entitled "Baker Chocolate Ephemera from a bygone era." Click here to see the pdf version of the article.


Trade cards, box labels, packaging, and exhibits at World Fairs and Expositions were some of the methods used for spreading the Baker name. The company created an Educational Exhibit for schools consisting of a wooden box with samples of cacao beans and other materials relating to the history and processing of chocolate.
