A M. Johnson of No. 1468 Dorchester Avneue, Dorchester enjoys the distinction of being the proprietor of the oldest real estate and insurance agency in the district. Mr. Johnson established his business in Dorchestor 15 years ago and has occupied his present offices since May 1906. His business is the largest of its kind in the region, and he is recognized as the dean among real estate brokers. Mr. Johnson transacts a general real estate and insurance business, buying and selling property, renting houses and apartments, managing estates, negotiating mortgages promptly and on the lowest terms, and acts as auctioneer, appraiser and notary public whenever the occasion demands such service. His knowledge of real property values in the Dorchester district is surpassed by none, anal he is constantly consulted by prospective purchasers or lessees, and his conclusions are always taken as final and beyond dispute in such matters. He has a long list of desirable properties of various kinds for sale or rental, and anyone contemplating the acquisition of property in Dorchester either by purchase or for rent, should consult Mr. Johnson before dosing his contract. He acts a resident agent for the Aetna, Glens Falls, the Fireman’s Fund, the Norwich Union. the Phoenix-Hartford, the Home and Lloyds Plate Glass insurance companies, and places policies at the lowest and most favorable rates.
Mr. Johnsan was horn in Nova Scotia, Canada, but has lived in Dorchester for the last 30 years. He is now 42 years old. He is a member of the Odd Fellows, the Ancient Order of United Workmen and belongs to the Dorchester Gentlemen’s Driving Club. His the owner of Rex, a noted fast trotter, which has been the winner of many blue ribbons and gold cups.
