Heating, Plumbing and Gas Fitting, 1882 Dorchester Avenue

David W. Ross, expert in heating, plumbing and gas fitting work at No. 1881 Dorchester Avenue, Ashmont, established his business over 10 years ago in his shop adjoining the engine house.  His premises are commodious and well arranged for the kind of work done there.  He keeps a large stock of plumbers’ suppliers, stoves, ranges, etc. and acts as agent for the celebrated Magee make of heaters, ranges and stoves.  Mr. Ross does every description of plumbing, gas fitting and steam fitting, hot water heating and furnace work n the most scientific manner and guarantees compete satisfaction in every detail.  He has the reputation of being a workman of the highest skill and lives up to the very strict letter of every contract he undertakes.  Many examples of his work are to be found in the buildings of Dorchester and its vicinity, a large number of them consisting of problems the most difficult of solution.  A large force of skilled mechanics is constantly employed in assisting Mr. Ross in the prosecution of his work.

Mr. Ross was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and has lived in Dorchester for many years.  He is well known in the district outside of his trade and is accounted one of the most patriotic and public-spirited young men in the community, commanding the implicit confidence and respect of all.  He is a member of the Odd Fellows.
