Among the real estate brokers and Insurance men in Dorchester, there are few who are better known than Joseph C. O’Kane, of No. 216 Bowdoin street. Mr. O’Kane began business three years ago at No. 5 Bowdoin street and removed to his present offices in June 1907. His offices are roomy and furnished and fitted up. He conducts a general real estate business, selling, buying, renting and exchanging property, manages estates, collects rents and acts for the owner in any capacity desired. He also negotiates loans on real estate mortgages promptly and at the lowest rates of interest. Mr. O’Kane also does a large business as an insurance agent, representing the Norwich Union Insurance Society of Norwich, England; the Fire Association of Philadelphia. PA; the American Central Insurance Company of St. Louis, Mo.; the New York Plate Glass Insurance Company and others.
