With the success which usually falls to the lot of his fellow countrymen in this particular line of business, Th.(Thomas) Sparanges proprietor of the store of Th. Sparanges & Co. at No. 1512A Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, dealer in rare fruits and fine candies, stands as no exception to the general trade.  The store was established three years ago, at it s present location, and soon became one of the most popular business houses in the neighborhood.  The premises are 24 by 65 feet in dimensions and are amply spacious to permit a most effective, as well as attractive, display of the extraordinarily superb selection of goods to be found there.  The store is neatly fitted up, with an ice cream parlor in the rear, and we might here mention that Mr. Sparanges manufactures his own ice cream from the purest materials which sells at retail and wholesale prices ranging from 20 cents per pint, 35 cents per q2uart to $1.25 a gallon, with free delivery.  The show cases are of heavy plate glass, and a handsome soda water fountain occupies a conspicuous position in the place, together with a long counter of white marble.  Mr. Sparanges carries a full line of the purest, freshest and most healthful candies to be found in this section of the city, while his assortment of foreign and domestic fruits cannot be surpassed.  Every known fruit is to be found there in its peculiar season, the groves of the tropics and of the temperate zones each furnishing their supply for Mr. Sparanges’ discriminating customers.   Both a wholesale and retail business is done by the establishment.

Mr. Sparanges is a native of Greece and is still a young man.
