William G. Seavey

Garage, 616 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester

Automobile business in Dorchester is advancing by leaps and bounds, as it is almost everywhere else, and garages are numerous.  The above house, however, is one of the older concerns, having been in business since 1889, when it was established n Walnut Avenue.  It was removed here in 1903 and now has one of the most up-to-date garages n this section and also one of the largest, it being about 120 feet by 45 in area and covering fully 15,000 square feet of floor pace, and capable of holding about 50 large machines, and giving every facility that can be needed  by the automobilist.  A very complete repair shop is also maintained on the premises, and in this division of the garage, there is every possible device, apparatus and tool for quickly repairing the largest automobile.   A complete equipment of auto supplies is also carried, enabling the to provide for every contingency.

A department of bicycles and bike sundries and supplies forms a useful supplement to the business in automobiles and in this branch, also, a large trade is carried on.

Mr. Seavey is an experienced machinist, having been connected with this line of work nearly all his life.  In auto work especially, he is an expert.  He is a Boston man and in the prime of life.  The garage is located at the junction of Columbia road with Blue Hill Avenue and opposite the main entrance t Franklin Park, a most desirable point for this business.
