Edward A. Huebener Brick Collection no. 19 Everett-Appleton House

The Edward A. Huebener collection of over 100 bricks originally collected by Mr. Huebener exhibits brick paintings of the houses from which the bricks came. The bricks have upon them painted scenes of (mostly) old Dorchester houses and landmarks.

The Everett-Appleton House was located on the west side of Pleasant Street, just north of Savin Hill Avenue, where the Everett School is located now.

The Edward-Appleton house was built in 1779 by Moses Everett, minister of the First Parish Church. Moses Everett was Edward Everett’s uncle. The house was demolished in 1909 when the new Edward Everett School was built, moving from its location off Sumner Street.
