The Mattapan Community Health Center is the only community health center in Mattapan and Hyde Park. Established in 1972 as the Avenue Neighborhood Health Center; it was incorporated in 1974 with its current name.
New Building for Mattapan Community Health Center 2012
Located at 1563 Blue Hill Avenue (opposite the end of Babson Street), the new four-story, 50,000 square-foot building will be about twice the size of the health center’s current building, allowing for double the patients and triple the health care visits. The new building will house not only the health center but also a CVS, the first pharmacy in Mattapan Square in over 30 years, and a Citizens Bank. The $34 million construction project is expected to be completed by early summer 2012.
