Based on deed dated in 1877, and the Boston Directory for 1878 has an entry for Twitchell on Alban Street,
The following is from Ashmont by Douglass Shand-Tucci, p. 98
But a much deeper setback, in the manner of Beaumont Street, is essayed at 35 Alban, the Mumford House, and at 25 Alban, the Twitchell House. … The latter house, 25, with its wonderfully rounded and balustraded entrance porch, was the residence for twenty years of Dr. E. T. Twitchell, who was the Conants’ family doctor and, reputedly, the Fitzgeralds’.
There is a photograph from the 1880s taken from the backyard of 34 Alban Street, where the house at 25 Alban shows up very faintly. The appearance of the house was quite different from its current appearance. The outline of the house on the maps in Dorchester atlases shows a change between 1918 and 1933. We need to check the building permits, but the permits for this house seem not to have been scanned for access online. The online entry says that the building jacket has been permanently stored in box 10132765
