No. 6307 91 Alban Street, photograph April 26, 2005.
Date of construction: 1909
Architect: Harrison Atwood, Jr.
The Atwoods lived at 61 Alban Street, so this property was apparently a rental during their ownership.
In the appendix to The Second Settlement, Shand-Tucci cites an inspection report and a building permit from 1909 Harrison Atwood architect, C. F. Brown builder, H. Atwood owner, est. cost to build $5,000
The following is from Ashmont by Douglass Shand-Tucci, p. 92
… the Harrison Atwood, Jr., House, 91 Alban, a two-suite house of 1909, the bungalowlike feeling of which can still be felt despite later alterations, and 77 Alban, the Stein-Norris House (one house removed from 91 Alban), a single-family house built for a relative of Atwood’s who was endowed with this miniature Colonial Revival mansion, were designed by Harrrison Atwood, Sr., of whom more soon. Later, 77 was the home of E.J. Norris, the president of the Educational Publishing Company.
