Located at the corner of West Cottage and Judson Streets, the Bethany Baptist Church was organized January 31, 1871. The 1889 Bromley atlas shows that the Bethany Baptist was located at the site of the later Immanuel Church at 191 Adams Street. It is unclear when it moved to West Cottage and Judson Streets. Bethany Baptist was designed in the Romanesque Revival style.
In 1930 its Pastor was Buel W. Maxfield
