D M. Spinney. Furniture and Piano Mover at no. 1470 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester.
“Keep moving” is the appropriate motto of D. (David) M. Spinney, the well-known piano and furniture mover, of No. 1470 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester. Mr. Spinney opened his establishment eight years ago at its present location. He enjoys an enviable reputation for exercising the utmost care in the performance of all of the work which he undertakes and is assisted by a force of skilled freight handlers who thoroughly understand their business in all of its details. Pianos and furniture are removed from one point to another or are carefully packed for shipment to distant points promptly and safely. Mr. Spinney also makes a specialty of placing furniture in storage, making us of the New England store warehouse at Girard and Howard streets for that purpose. He has a transportation outfit consisting of three double teams and two single teams, thus having abundant facilities to perform any work that he may be called upon to do.
Mr. Spinney was born in the Dominion of Canada, but was a naturalized citizen before he came of age. He has made his home in Dorchester for a number of years and is looked upon as a patriotic and public-spirited citizen. The prices which he charges for his work are moderate and satisfactory to his patrons, and he does a large business in Dorchester and its vicinity
