Dorchester Buildings Care Company
776 Dudley Street, Dorchester
One of the most useful institutions in the entire district is that known as the Dorchester Buildings Care Company at No. 776 Dudley Street, Upham’s Corner, Dorchester. This company was established 15 years ago and is owned by William A. Glines. The concern does all manner of things, including painting, glazing, general repairing, cleaning of furnaces, repairing of the same. taking up, putting down, cleansing and storing carpets, rugs, etc. Its charges for work done are low, and a price list will be freely furnished on application, either personally or by letter. It is probable that this concern can do its work more cheaply and much better than any institution of its kind in the city, for it has all of the facilities for doing it and experts to direct and perform .the necessary labor. All orders are promptly attended to immediately upon their receipt. The work done by this concern embraces Dorchester, the city proper and the surrounding territory, its sea-vices being in great demand.
Mr. Glines was born in the state of Maine. He has made his home in Boston for the last 43 years. He is a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen. In addition to his work as head of the Dorchester Buildings Care Company, Mr. Glines also conducts an establishment in which he does lock-smithing and electrical work, with headquarters in the same building. He is regarded as a public-spirited and patriotic citizen and enjoys the complete confidence and respect of the whole community.
