The establishment of E. Banks & Co., dealers in groceries and provisions, at No. 1442 Dorchester avenue, Field’s Corner, Dorchester, is in the exclusive control of E. Banks, the company in the firm name being wholly nominal. The store was opened four years ago by Mr. Banks and at once .obtained a recognized standing in the community because of the superlative quality of the goods offered for sale and the superiority of the service rendered to patrons. The salesroom is commodious and contains a fine display of staple and fancy groceries, canned goods, etc. A specialty is made of choice cuts of fresh meats, which are kept constantly in the best of condition in large, modern refrigerators. The place is attractive in every way and is fitted with fixtures of hardwood and is scrupulously neat and tidy in its appearance. A choice selection
of fresh fruits and vegetables can always be found there, in their proper seasons. The prices which rule in the Banks store are moderate in the extreme and housekeepers have long learned to know that it is in the line of genuine economy to trade there.
Mr. Banks is a native of this state. He employs a staff of six people and makes use of three delivery wagons.
