J A. Kilgoar

Dealer in choice groceries and provisions, 1090 Dorchester Avenue

The well-known grocery and provision store of J. A. Kilgoar at 1090 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, was established in 1905, in response to an imperative demand front the resisdents of the neighborhood for a first-class grocery store. Mr. Kilgoar’s place has seemed to meet al: of the requirements and has been a successful enterprise front the beginning. The salesroom is neat and well-arranged, and the stock of goods is attractively disposed about the place and makes an exceedingly inviting display. This stock is large and varied in its composition and consists of staple and fancy groceries, teas, coffees, spices, butter, cheese, milk, cream, canned goods, table delicacies, jar goods, breakfast and luncheon dainties, cereals, provisions, fresh and salt meats, fruits and vegetables, poultry, etc., in a variety too large to enumerate here. Mr. Kilgoar gives employment to four people and uses two wagons in the operation of his prompt and accurate delivery system. The patronage of the store is drawn from the best and most exclusive families in the neighborhood, and Mr. Kilgoar has reason to feel proud over such an endorsement of his efforts to please.

Mr. Kilgoar was born in Boston and was educated in the city’s schools. He is still a young man and is well liked by all of those who know him, both in a business way and socially.
