The bakery of John Robertson at No. 226 Bowdoin Street, Dorchester, is one of the beast establishments of its kind in the entire district and was opened on April 27, 1907.  The premises consist of a store with a bakeshop in te rear, and are kept scrupulously neat and tidy.  No dirt, or even dust, ever seems to find lodgment within its doors.  The salesroom is an attractive place, being tastefully fitted in oak, with show cases and shelves and is illumined by large windows of spotless plate glass.  The bakery is equipped with all of the most modern appointments and appliances, and the preparation of the food and the baking are done in the most scientific manner known to the trade.  The product of the ovens is sold only in the sotre of the establishment and is not disposed of to dealers, and the bread, pies, cookies, rolls, doughnuts, cakes of various kinds ar4ehighly prized by the patrons of the place in the neighborhood who are unanimous in the belief that there is no other bakery anywhere which is half as good as this.

Mr. Robertson is a native of Boston and has lived in this city since 1864.  He has been connected with the baking business for many years and is an expert at his trade.  He is much liked by the people in the neighborhood and is respected and esteemed by all.  Although he has been in business in Dorchester but a comparatively short time, his success was long ago assured, and his trade is increasing by leaps and bounds each day.
