Successful builder of wagons and carriages, 83 Freeport Street

Joseph S. Crocker, the well known carriage and wagon builder, at No. 83 Freeport Street, Dorchester, established his business twenty years ago, his first factory being situated in Hampden Street.  Some time later, he removed to his present commodious and desirable premises. His factory is fully equipped with machinery and other me­chanical devices for the construction of fine carriages and wagons, the building being a three-story frame structure, with a large lot adjoining, covering 10,000 square feet of space. Mr. Crocker makes all kinds of wheeled vehicles for pleasure and business use, such as buggies, road wagons, phaetons, cabs, coupes, hacks, coaches, dog carts, traps, delivery wagons, farm wagons, trucks, etc. All of the vehicles he turns out from his works are noted for their fine finish and for their durability.

Mr. Crocker has an enviable reputa­tion for success in his calling, and many are the tine examples of his handiwork to be seen in the streets of Dorchester and the surrounding country every day.
