The Sussex Vale Creamery and Tea Store

Model Establishment at No. 369 Washington Street, Dorchester

The New Sussex Vale Creamery and Tea store at No. 369 Washington Street, corner of Gaylord Street, Dorchester, is an establishment which it is difficult to find duplicated anywhere, and certainly not in this region.   It was opened to the patronage of the public on April 20, 1907, and justified its existence on the first day its doors were open to the people.  The place is owned by I. A. Worden & Co.  The store is nearly fitted in hardwood and is attractive and inviting in appearance and has a plate glass front.  The establishment is a general creamery and is stocked with a full line of high grade tes and coffees, including the S. S. Pierce “Pan American” brand, the Best Baking Company’s and Ferguson’s bread and pies, Randolph Creamery butter, “State House” and “Gold Medal” flour and butter made in the Acme Creamer, Vermont.  There is also kept a large and varied selection of canned goods and breakfast foods.  Everything sold in this store is of the highest grade obtainable and is warranted to be just as it is represented.  Although this store is new to the locality and is an institution wholly by itself in its make-up, it has already become one of the favorite trading places in the neighborhood, and the residents declare they would find it a difficult matter to do without it.

Mr. Worden was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and has lived in Boston for the last twenty-five years.  In spite of the short time he has been in Dorchester, he has already made hundreds of friends in the locality in which he is engaged and has become very popular in the neighborhood
