Tripp & Co.

Are Popular Pharmacists of Peabody Square, Ashmont—Maintain One of the Most Up-to-date Establishments of Its Kind in Dorchester—Located Opposite N. Y., N. H. & H. R.R. Station

[Note: the train station used to be located on the north side of Peabody Square in the vee between Talbot Avenue and Dorchester Avenue.]

This is a modern attractive and representative suburban drug store and was started by Mr. (Arthur H.) Tripp, who is a pharmacist of long and practical experience, about five years ago.   The location was well chosen, and the store is nicely fitted with mahogany fixtures, many handsome show cases, a fine fountain, plate glass windows, tiled flooring and all the accessories of a first class drug store.  A complete line of drugs, chemicals, medicines, sick room supplies and druggists’ sundries is carried and in the prescription department, the freshest and very highest quality of drugs are kept for compounding physicians’ prescriptions, which are put up with the greatest care and skill.  Three competent and trustworthy assistants are employed, and every effort is used to give efficient and satisfactory service, and these efforts have certainly proved successful, for the business is a most prosperous one, as is proved by the fact that the store is now being greatly enlarged to meet the requirements of the increasing business, by taking in the adjoining store, lately used by an express company, on Ashmont Street.

Mr. Tripp is a member of the N.A.R. D. a Ph. G and connected with various local organizations.  He is popular with all classes and is highly regarded, both as a progressive business man and as a private citizen.
