W F. Taylor, Dealer in Fine Groceries and Provisions, 175 Washington Street

It is well known among householders in that neighborhood that the grocery and provision store of W. F. Taylor, No. 175 Washington Street, Dorchester, is one of the most desirable in the locality in which to obtain food supplies of the most reliable character.  This place was established in 1890.

The store is 25 by 65 feet in dimensions and is handsomely fitted with hardwood fixtures and the large stock of goods is well arranged in various departments. The stock is one of the largest and most varied of its kind in this part of the district and consists of staple and fancy groceries, teas, coffees, spices, butter, cheese, eggs, wooden ware, canned goods, jar goods, table delicacies, breakfast and luncheon dainties, flour, sugar, provisions, fruits, vegetables, etc., in great variety, including fresh meats of all kinds.  We might here mention that Mr. Taylor has lately acquired a poultry farm in Foxboro and eau thus assure his patrons of the best and freshest along these lines. The house makes a distinct specialty of pure spices. Six people are employed in this establishment and the services of two wagons are required to meet the demands of the outside delivery system operated.  The store has a large patronage, numbering among its customers most of the best families in the neighborhood.

Mr. Taylor was born in Connecticut and was educated in the schools of the Nutmeg state.  He has resided in Dorchester since 1899.  He is accounted one of the most popular young men in the locality and is full of public spirit and patriotism.
