Allen Hugh MacQuarrie United States Marine Corps 16 November, 1930 – 15 June, 1951 Allen Hugh MacQuarrie was born on November 16, 1930 in Boston. He was a resident of Dorchester and went to Charlestown High School. On May 6, 1948, MacQuarrie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and began active duty two years later on October 13, 1950. In Korea, Private First Class Macquarrie served as a rifleman with H Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On June 15, 1951, serving in Honjon-Ni, Korea (the Punchbowl), PFC Macquarrie was killed due to multiple fragmentation wounds resulting from a missile blast at the edge of his foxhole. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service and is buried in the New Cavalry Cemetery in Mattapan. Allen was survived by his parents Murdock and Margaret MacQuarrie of Boston.

MacQuarrie lived at 25 Wainwright Street.
