John P. Holland School (Elementary)

John Holland, a resident of East Boston, was a National Legislative Committeeman of the American Legion. He also worked as a probation officer in Boston. Holland was a sergeant in the 101st Medical Detachment in France during World War I. He died at the early age of 31 due to the effects of poison gas.
