Lucy Stone (1818-18 ) was an American reformer who was born in Brookfield, Mass. She graduated from Oberlin College in 1847 and began touring New England, lecturing against slavery. In 1869 Stone helped organize the Woman Suffrage Association of America of which she was President until 1872.


This facility now serves as one of the locations for the Brook charter school.

The Roxbury Prep Lucy Stone Campus Charter School originally opened in 2011 as Grove Hall Prep, changing its name in 2012 to reflect is permanent location at the former Lucy Stone Elementary School building in Dorchester.
