Morris J. Gottlieb Square

The intersection of Blue Hill avenue and Charlotte Street was designated a Hero Square for Morris J. Gottlieb.

Gottlieb  lived at 109 Evans Street.  He was a veteran of World War II and was prominent in Greater Boston veterans’ organizations.  He served with the Air Force in Iwo Jima, Japan and New Guinea.  Gottlieb died of complications that developed from wounds he received in action in the South Pacific.
