The intersection of Freeport Street and Mill Street was designated a Hero Square for Roderick McPee in front of the Dorcheser Yacht Club. .

The location would now be Morrissey Boulevard and Victory Road.  The marker appears to be missing.

McPhee lived at 8 Plymouth Street, Neponset and attend the Mary Hemenway School.   He enlisted in London on June 28, 1915, in the Gloucester Regiment.  He won the British military and war medals. When America entered the war, McPhee made an application for transfer, but he was killed on August 22, 1917.
