The oldest drug store now doing business in Ashmont is the pharmacy presided over by Mr. W. F. Greene. The business was established thirteen years ago by Mr. Bridgham, who ran it six month and then sold it to Mr. Greene, who has continued it for twelve e years. as a matter of course, the store is well known to the people of Ashmont, where it has so long been of excellent service to the community. But it is not to be inferred that either the store of the proprietor is a back number. Mr. Greene is abreast of the times and keeps his establishment up0 to date in every respect. He carries a complete stock of drugs, chemicals and medicines and also a full line of druggist’s sundries of every description. Mr. Greene I a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and his chief clerk is a license pharmacist. The most careful attention is given to the compounding of prescriptions, for which the purest of drugs are used, and patrons may be assured of the best of service in this direction. Mr. Green is also interested n the Lawrence Company, of which he is the treasurer and manager. This company is the manufacturer and owner of the Lawrence powders, a most successful remedy for the cure of headache, neuralgia, la grippe and colds and for the prevention of pneumonia and rheumatism. They are doing a good, which is constantly increasing, a the popularity of the Lawrence Powers is growing every day. Mr. Greene’s business record Is well known to the community as an honorable and upright one, and his friends, both in a business and social way are numerous. He is president of the Ashmont Improvement Association, treasurer of the Ashmont Club and treasurer of the Ashmont Co-Operative Association. He is also treasurer of the Republican ward Committee.
