The store of J. W. Jackson, newsdealer and dealer in confectionery, tobacco, fruit, stationery, soda water and ice cream is one of the most popular establishments in the neighborhood, being located at No. 1509 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, Mr. Jackson keeps a complete selection of all of the leading Boston and New York daily and weekly papers, all of the standard monthly magazines and periodicals, and all of the newest and best works of popular fiction. He also keeps a general supply of everything that is staple and late In the line of fashionable stationery, all of the standard and popular brands of cigars and tobaccos for the critical smoker, and many other things of daily consumption, including fresh fruits, in their seasons, delicious soda water and ice cream. He also maintains a cozy and attractive ice cream parlor in the rear portion of his store, where all of the finest fresh fruit flavors are served to his patrons at any hour.
Mr. Jackson opened his establishment in 1905. He is a man now in middle life and is n prominent member of the Royal Arcanum and several societies.
