The name means House of Hillel.
21873 800 Morton Street, formerly Temple Beth Hillel
This congregation was founded in 1921 by faculty and students of Hebrew Teachers College. In 1970, the temple was merged with congregation Beth Torah of West Roxbury to form Temple Hill Bnai Torah.
The building is now used by Berea S. D. A. Academy (Seventh Day Adventist)
I happen to have a Sabbath and Festival prayer-book from Temple Beth Hillel, donated to the congregation by Mr. and Mrs. A. Idelson December 1, 1944 in memory of Mr. Hyman Liftman. If you are interested in it, call me @ 714-319-2989.
