 DONALD A. CONTARINO United States Army 30 August 1949 – 14 August 1969 Donald Allen Contarino was born on August 30, 1949. Donald resided on 12.5 High St. in Beverly Farms, Essex County. Showing his love for our country Donald enlisted in the United States Army on September 27, 1968. Donald served as private first class in 174th Avn Co, 14th Avn Bn, and 16th Avn GP Americal Div. Donald Corporal (D.Cpl.) was a UH-1 helicopter crewman and mechanic serving with the 174th Assault Helicopter Company. He was killed in action on August 14,1969 in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam. Donald was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and t he Vietnam Gallantry Cross. He was buried at Beverly Farms Cemetery in Beverly, Essex. Donald was survived by his mother Christine M.

Contarino was born in Dorchester August 30 1949.  He attended Boston Technical High School until his family moved, and he transferred to Beverly High School.  His family lived at 12 ½ High Street, Beverly Farms. He was a member of the Dorchester Yacht Club.
