Edward John Scahill United States Army 27 November 1946 – 23 November 1966 Edward John Scahill was born to Mr. and Mrs. Edward T. Scahill on November 27, 1946 in Dorchester. Edward enlisted into the United States Army on February 15, 1966. Private First Class (PFC) Scahill served with the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment. While serving in the Pleiku Province of South Vietnam Scahill was killed in action on November 23, 1966. PFC Scahill was awarded the Purple Heart and the Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medal for the heroism he displayed in his service to our country. Edward was survived by his parents residents of Randolph MA

Edward J. Scahill was killed in action in Vietnam three weeks arter arriving there.  He enlisted in the Army on February 15, 1966. He was attached to the 1st Air Cavalry Division.  His family moved from Dorchester to Randolph in 1963.
