Frederick Vincent Arens, Jr. United States Navy 21 July 1948 – 24 May 1968 Frederick Vincent Arens, Jr. was born July 21, 1948 to Frederick V. and Mary T. Arens in Boston. He resided on Minot Street in Dorchester. Frederick demonstrated his devotion to our country when he enlisted in the United States Navy on April 10, 1967. Fireman (FN) Arens proudly served with Commander River Assault Squadron Eleven. On May 24, 1968, while on the Song My Tho River in Vietnam, FN Arens fell overboard and drowned. His body was recovered on May 29, 1968 and later buried at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Frederick was survived by his parents residents of Dorchester.

Arens lived at 140 Minot Street.
