Harold Leon Castle United States Army 28 July, 1919 – 29 December, 1944 Harold Leon Castle was born on July 28, 1919 in Boston. He resided on Stratton Street in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1937. He worked as a plumber before he was inducted into the United States Army on November 13, 1942. Private First Class (PFC) Castle served in the Army until he died in service in Nigeria, Africa on December 29, 1944. For the sacrifice and heroism he displayed in service to our country, PFC Castle was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. Harold was survived by his mother Sarah V. Castle, a Dorchester resident and his wife Sadie Helen, of Los Angeles California.

Castle lived on Edison Street.
