John E. Maloney United States Navy Reserves 16 August 1925 – 16 April 1945 John E. Maloney was born on August 16, 1925 in Boston. As a Dorchester resident he was inducted into the Navy Reserves on January 5, 1944 and began active duty that same day. John served as a Gunners Mate 3 rd Class. He was killed in action on April 16, 1945 in the Asiatic Area. John was survived by his mother Helen C. Maloney.
