Milton Charles Kornetz United States Army 24 April 1916 – 15 April 1945 Milton Charles Kornetz was born on April 24, 1916 in Boston. As a resident of Dorchester, Milton inducted into the United States Army on February 14, 1943 and began active duty that same day. Milton served as Private First Class with the 6901st Civil Affairs Regiment. He was KIA on April 15, 1945 due to being shot while attempting to escape from being under German control.

Pfc Kornetz lived at 74 Nightingale Street.  H was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and of Boston College.  H received a masters degree from Boston University.  Kornetz enlisted in February 1943 and went overseas with a civilian affairs unit in March 1944.
