Died in the performance of his duty, November 23, 1967. Box 1777.

Given by his comrades of Engine Company 18.

The plaque is located at 1884 Dorchester Avenue, the quarters of Engine 18.

Warren Lynch died on November 23, 1967, by accident.  He was battling a house fire at 49 Hartford Street and died of smoke inhalation.  He was the husband of Doris K. (McKenna) Lynch and father of Larraine F. and Jane E. Lynch, son of Mrs. William (Thorpe) O’Donnell and brother of Lt. Richard Lynch, F. F. D.  Lt. Lynch lived at 79 Oakton Avenue.  He had been a member of the fire department for twenty years.
