Ronald Leon Delverde United States Marine Corps 27 June 1946 – 25 September 1968 Ronald Leon Delverde was born on June 27, 1946 in Boston. Showing his love for our country Ronald enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on November 2, 1965 and began active duty that same day. Ronald served as Corporal in the 1st Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines, and Company B. He was KIA in South Vietnam, Quang Nam Province on September 25, 1968 due to an explosive device. For the heroism displayed in his service to our country, Ronald was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. Ronald was survived by his mother Mrs. Clara Delverde a resident of Boston.

Delverde lived at 251 Gold Street, South Boston.  He graduated from South Boston High School in 1964.
