Brian Richard Kelly United States Marine Corps 22 May 1950 – 2 June 1969 Brian Richard Kelly was born on May 22, 1950 in Boston. As a resident of Dorchester, Brian enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on January 26, 1968 and began active duty that same day. Brian served as Private First Class in the 1st Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, and Company C. He was killed in action in South Vietnam, Quang Nam Province through hostile action, which resulted in multiple fragmentation wounds on June 2, 1969. For the heroism he displayed in his service to our country, Brian was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. Brian was survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Kelly, residents of Dorchester.

Biran Richard Kelly lived on Mt. Vernon Street.  He attended South Boston High School and enlisted in the Marines on January 26, 1968.  He went to Vietnam in March 1968.
