Patrick Joseph Kelly Jr. United States Marine Corps 28 September 1931 – 28 February 1966 Patrick Joseph Kelly Jr. was born on September 28, 1931 in Dorchester. Showing his love for our country Patrick joined into the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Patrick served as Sergeant with the 3rd Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, and Company C. He was KIA in South Vietnam, Quang Nam province on February 28, 1966 due to hostile action during battle. For the heroism displayed in his service to our country, Patrick was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
