SP4 CLINTON R CARPENTER JR was born on February 2, 1947 in Mobile, AL. He enlisted with the US Army on May 21, 1966 in Boston, MA with Co. D. 1st Bn. 502d Inf. 101st ABE Div. During a battle in the Thua Thien Province of Vietnam on March 6, 1968, SP4 CLINTON R CARPENTER JR was killed by hostile fire. The City of Boston acknowledges the ultimate sacrifice made by SP4 CLINTON R CARPENTER JR and is bestowed the title of hero. CLINTON R CARPENTER JR is honored on Panel 43E, Row 16 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
