Robert Abraham Carpenter United States Navy 17 May, 1921 – 27 October, 1944 Robert Abraham Carpenter was born on May 17, 1921. He resided on Evelyn Street in Mattapan and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1938. He displayed his love for our country when he enlisted in the United States Navy on October 9, 1942 as a Radioman Second Class (RM 2/C). RM 2/C Carpenter served with the MTB RON 36A, a Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron. On October 27, 1944, RM 2/C Carpenter was killed in action in the Philippines. Robert was survived by his sister, Ida Goldberg, a resident of Mattapan.

Carpenter lived at 37 Evelyn Street, Mattapan.
